Excellent role played by Ayushmann Khurrana. As always, at his best. Anu Kapoor , the father of Ayushmann, has played his character to the perfection and him turning into Rahul can make you Love him even more. Nushrat Bharucha has a very limited space to perform but a whatsoever, screen space is given and she's has done a good job.
Ever since he was a kid, Karamvir Singh (Ayushmann Khurrana) has had a very unique talent. Blessed with the gift of being able to mimic a woman’s voice, he grows up to use it for more than just getting his best friend Smiley (Manjot Singh) out of trouble. Karam is adored by people in his locality for playing the roles of Radha and Sita in local plays. Educated and jobless, he begins to look for a better solution to the debt he and his father (Annu Kapoor) are in. That’s how he begins working at a friendship call center with a whole slew of loyal clients who admire the charming voice and friendly chatter of his female alter-ego Pooja. However, things start to get out of hand as these clients fall head over heels in love with her. Karamvir finds himself caught between living a normal life with his now-fiance (Nushrat Bharucha) and dodging proposals from Pooja’s admirers.
Ayushmaan was brilliant... He delivered yet another extraordinary performance in this movie where I kept on laughing in the entire movie. The supporting cast comprising of Annu Kapoor was also brilliant throughout the movie. After Vicky Donor yet another powerful performance by both Ayushmaan and Annu Kapoor. It is a must watch movie which will make you laugh throughout the movie.
Dream girl can be described in the following way : What’s Good: It tests the limits of how hard can you laugh in 2 hours! Did I say Ayushmann Khurrana was in this film? That makes a by default addition to this section What’s Bad: Many will miss this in cinema halls, to watch it on television and regretting of why did they skip it Loo Break: YES! Will come naturally to you by laughing hard.
Like why! Except Ayushman, its a waste. If you have been in college hostel, it may carry you down the memory lane. You may not want to spend couple of hours on this predictable, loosely written script. There are other better options available. But again, if you are Ayushman's fan there's no one stopping you. Problem with such strong character type plot is that you can't go out of it limiting the scope of punch lines and thus making it repetitive where things started falling apart. You can make it through movie only if you are capable of switching off your brain and laugh at any dialogue.
Another monster hit by Ayushman khurana. This movie depicts how good Ayushman is as an actor and nails the different types of roles in every single movie. This movie has a good sense of direction as a part of low budget movie and its the most you can get. Its worth the watch and the message portrayed is also quite impressive. Loved the movie and its a must watch movie for all the college students, go in groups to enjoy the most out of it.
The movie has portrayed the serious subject of ‘human loneliness’ very creatively. The ambiguity given to dialogues takes you on a fun ride. At a point or two, you might feel that old people have been made fun of (like the protagonist’s father or the granny), but Ayushmann makes it up by acknowledging his old father’s endurance to have braved all the loneliness of his life all by himself. In a way, the movie shows that old people hold the key to present generation’s happiness and are better life students than us millennials. Also, the fact that they are aged does not really mean that they do not have desires! So we must embrace all their experiences, respect their choices and individuality.

Ayushmaan is all over the place in the movie. He has emerged as one of the versatile and bankable star with back to back hits and experimental roles. Vijay Raj, Ani kapoor have played their role with conviction. I don't know the name of the actor but I loved the characters of Toto and Mahendra Bhaiya.
Funny, entertaining (in hindi "paisa vasool movie"). Ayushamann is amazing in the movie along with every actor. Anu Kapoor's role and acting is so good. It's difficult to give the movie credit to just one person as everyone has done their role the best. You'll not get bored throughout the movie and there will be a smile on your face constantly. Don't think twice before going to watch this movie. You won't get disappointed at all !!!!!
Karamvir Singh aka Karam (Ayushmann), is established at the very outset, as a boy blessed with the talent of impersonating the female voice with great accuracy. This unique talent is put to good use by his friend (Manjot Singh) who often gets Karam to pretend to be his mother (over the phone) or a pretend girlfriend to get him out of hot water. Nothing succeeds like success and his flawless imitation of the female voice ensures that he only lands the role of Sita in the local Ramleela, a source of income for the jobless Karam. The hero finds himself typecast into performing female roles despite his manly protestation and the only way out is to land himself a job. It does not help that his father Jagjit Singh (Annu Kapoor), a widower has mortgaged their home and the family business –a shop that sells accouterments used for last rites.
